WHY SKIN TONIC?
While washing cleanses the skin, a proper skin tonic removes any final residue
of cleanser and any lime deposit from the rinse water. It also closes the pores
and contributes by moisturizing.
At LisaLise, we believe alcohol does not belong in skin tonic - regardless of
skin type! We use only the purest (organic where possible) hydrosols and floral
waters as the basis for all of our tonic, mist and drench products. Learn more

We’ve added moisture-binding herbal essences and fruit extracts to pure hydrosols
and floral waters to extend the moisturizing action. We like to think of our
tonics as liquid face lotion. Choose from: Frankincense, Rose, Neroli (Orange
Blossom), Lavendar, Chamomille, and Geranium.

Hydrosols (also known as hydrolates) are the exquisite by-products of the process of making essential oils. During
this process, herbs or flowers are distilled with pure spring water. The water
is heated and steam-pressed through the plant material as vapour. This allows
the essential oils to be collected from the plants. The oils float on the
surface of the resulting water and are removed, leaving the hydrolate.
Floral Waters are purified water with the addition of essential oil and an emulsifier to
disperse the oil.
It is these precious, fragrant liquids we use in our products instead of ‘just’ water. The floral waters and hydrosols we use are all organic.
