Shower Shaker Tips and Tricks

If you have become a bit of a fan of making and using shower shakers, then these tips might make you even more of a fan.

TIP 1

Pictured above: a few ingredients for my latest batch in the big bowl and a secret ingredient that helps keep the mixture from clumping.

(Ok, obviously not so secret since I’m going to tell you about it).

The ingredient is sold under the name Natrasorb Bath. It is great for helping disperse essential oils into water and the most lightweight stuff you will ever see. It takes a huge bucket to hold a mere 453 grams / 1 pound.

Don’t believe me? Check this bucket. There was a pound in this and the bucket weights more than the content.

Natrasorb Bath is a modified tapioca starch you’ll find stocked with many cosmetics ingredients suppliers .

TIP 2

When you’re finished scrubbing and exfoliating your body, take an extra minute and pile on some more shaker mixture and exfoliate your hands thoroughly for super smooth, fabulous-looking hands.

I was amazed at how much difference this made the first time I tried it (thank you Olympia for the inspiration!). I swear it took years off. Needless to say, it has become a part of my daily routine.

Enjoy!
