What’s in This For You

If you have (or are thinking of starting) an artisan business and prefer working with natural ingredients, you’ll find inspiration as well as information on many aspects of artisan product production. My own artisan business has always had particular focus on plant-based ingredients and I have decades of experience creating powerful, safe, and stable cosmetics using a wide range of botanicals - including fresh foods.

If you are interested in making your own effective, stable products but don’t have an industry-sized lab (or expensive lab equipment), you’ll find my methods can help you increase your skills and confidence - even if you are in a modest workspace. For years, I worked out of my kitchen using readily available kitchen tools, yet created products that have all passed European safety and stability testing and gone on to be manufactured and sold on the market.

Thanks for all the inspiration, Lise!

If you are interested in improving your skills in using locally available botanicals to make your own powerful extracts and safely including them in your personal care products, you’ll find both inspiration and advice.

If you want to take advantage of my many years of experience in natural cosmetic formulation, production, research, and testing, you’ll find tips and exclusive information not shared anywhere else.

I learned so much from your courses and books. I absolutely love your approach to formulating.

If you are interested in creating your own color-stable natural make-up using exclusively plant colorants, this club might just be the only place on the planet that can show you how. I have been working with plant colorants specifically for skincare-as-make-up for well over a decade and will be providing members with what they need to know to get busy making their own.

Fair warning: this information is being made available over a period of time as I have over 10 years of notes to sort through, but members have a say in how things are prioritised.

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. Precious!!!

If you are interested in being a part of an exclusive community with like-minded plant-loving skin-and-haircare creators, I think you might feel right at home in this club, because you are also going to have a say in how it develops and what kind of information is prioritised.

Your work is always amazing and inspiring. I am truly grateful to found you on social media a few years back right when I was learning about natural skincare and wondering what books to read. Always keep doing what you do♥️ you are definitely my inspiration 🙏🏼😍

What Started All This

For the longest time, people have been asking me when I will be sharing more about the different projects I am constantly working on (books, courses, formulation development, etc).

My work is (almost exclusively) with natural and botanical ingredients, and because I have spent many years developing formulations for artisan (as well as some larger) businesses, requirements for safety and stability are more stringent than they generally are for making personal care products for DIY/immediate use.

My passion for working with natural ingredients started many years ago and has grown exponentially with the passing of time which has brought me down all sorts of interesting new paths of discovery.

It isn’t often I will say no to a challenge, and perhaps because of this, I am regularly commissioned to create personal care products that others claim can’t be done. What this translates to is a great deal of experimentation, testing, and development of specialised production methods.

My products come into existence via

  • Researching and working with all manner of botanicals (sourcing, wildcrafting, processing)

  • Handcrafting extracts of all types (tinctures, glycerites, infusions, macerations, distillates, etc)

  • Creating ingredients (emulsifiers, botanical colorants, multi-medium extracts, etc)

  • Creating stable cosmetics – even with all manner of food products (from fresh to freeze-dried)

  • Researching and working with Hurdle Technology ( to make self-preserving products)

  • Testing ingredient and method limits - both handcrafted and purchased

As you may imagine - there’s a lot on my plate at any given time. Happily, I love every aspect of my work but also have a to-do list that is much longer than I care to admit.

When it occurred to me that it would be possible to accommodate the numerous different requests I have been getting by creating a membership space, the idea for LisaLise Club was born.

I hope you’ll be joining us for a lot of botanical formulating fun.
