I find having a sous vide stick quite handy for any controlled heat situation that doesn’t require constant monitoring.
I’ll come clean - I am usually monitoring anyway, but being able to place a setup close by does allow me to multitask to some degree. The cool thing about sous vide sticks are they are handy, easy to use, and can be attached to any suitable container.
My sous vide stick has been useful for infusions as well as melting fats and waxes. I have as yet to use this tool for anything cooking related, but then, I did buy it specifically for cosmetics making use.
